The events that we experience can shape how we view ourselves, and also how we view the world around us. For those living life with a lens of trauma, the world can feel scary, unsure, and unsafe. Experiencing trauma can create obstacles, including: relational conflicts, anxiety, panic attacks, dissociation, and isolation.
As a trauma-informed therapist, I believe that it is important to provide a safe and collaborative therapeutic space, where healing and growth can begin to occur.
I have over 5 years of experience working with individuals experiencing
acute and complex trauma, including PTSD. I also have experience working with individuals experiencing dissociation, depression, and anxiety.
I am EMDR trained and use the tool of EMDR as a primary therapeutic intervention. EMDR utilizes eye movements and bilateral stimulation, to help the brain begin to process traumatic events, and the negative self-messages that result from trauma.
As an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist, I am currently under the supervision of Susie Ibrahim, LMFT.
Thank you for taking a first step toward your healing process. I welcome you to start your journey, and am thankful for the opportunity to work alongside of you.
